Albert L. Maslar, Jr., 84, of Absecon, passed away Monday, September 15, 2014 at AtlantiCare, Mainland. Born in Reading, PA, he lived in Swarthmore and Media, PA and Port Charlotte, FL, before settling in Absecon many years ago. He is a veteran of the US Army, serving in the early 1950’s. Albert was a political commentator as well as a published author in his retirement. He also was a CPA and entrepreneur throughout his career.
He is predeceased by his first wife, Anne Flynn Maslar; his brother, James R. Maslar; and his stepdaughter, Kelsey (Tim) Crawford Smith. He is survived by his wife, Anne (Nancy) (nee Kelly) Maslar; his children, Lisa (Tony) Jost, of Brigantine, Mark (Marissa) Maslar, of Cleveland Heights, OH and Kate (Owen) Maslar McCarron, of Wilmington, DE; his stepchildren, Daniel (Gina) Crawford, of Barrington, NJ and Edward (Lori) Crawford, of Overlook, KS; his brother and sister, Bill (Beth) Maslar and Anne Maslar Nerino; and his grandchildren, Colin, Matthew, Shane, Sarah, Moira and Aidan.
Receiving will take place 10AM to 11AM, Saturday, September 20, 2014, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 591 New Jersey Ave., Absecon. A funeral mass will be offered at 11AM. Burial will be private.
