Obituary For Albert P. Mieskolainen
Albert P. Mieskolainen, age 78, of Folsom, NJ, passed away July 15, 2024. Son to Felix A. and Caroline Mieskolainen, he was born and raised in South Philadelphia, and later moved to South Jersey. He studied Electronic Engineering at Penn State, Criminology at University of Pennsylvania, and Physics at Temple University. A Veteran of the US Navy, he was later employed as an Industrial Specialist for the Department of Defense and a Security Analyst for NSA. What he enjoyed most was spending time with his wife and family, gardening, working on his Bronco, and talking about his Navy days. If you ever spoke with him, you heard at least one story that started with “back when I was in the Navy…”. He was a source of light, laughter, and the best dad jokes.
Al married his sweetheart, Carol, on December 2, 1972, and had three children; William (Diane), Michelle and Albert Jr (Michele); grandchildren, Alaina, Gina, Nick, Tommy, Frankie, Aidan, Ava and Chase; and great-grandfather to Christopher, Anthony, Joseph and Julianna.
Visitation will be Thursday, July 18, 2024 from 10AM to 11AM at Parsels Funeral Home, 324 New Jersey Ave, Absecon, NJ. A service will be conducted at 11AM. Burial will immediately follow at the Atlantic County Veterans Cemetery, 109 NJ 50, Mays Landing, NJ. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer Association. He was one of my virtual mentors in my short life with the Broncos, I didn't have the honor of meeting him in person but he was always helping "noobies" like me and anyone who had "Broncxiety". There was an Argentine writer who said something like that a wise man needs to live 400 years to enjoy all the knowledge acquired during the first 100. Albert was surely one of them. We will always remember him with his famous greeting phrase to new members of the forum: "Welcome and congratulations on acquiring the very best year Big Bronco known to men, women, children and canines!" We will see each other again Al!

I too only knew Al online through our shared love of Broncos. He was always kind and willing to offer his vast amount of knowledge with us. His entire Bronco family is saddened by his passing. May he rest in peace. And may his family take solace in knowing he was loved, even by folks he had never actually met.

Al and I never met, but I got to know him online through his love of Broncos. He was a kind man who deeply loved his family and was always willing to share his knowledge in a selfless way. He will be deeply missed. God speed Al.
