Obituary For Ann (Nancy) E. Gillespie
Ann (Nancy) E. Gillespie, 72, of Absecon, New Jersey, peacefully passed away May 12, 2023, following many years of health issues. Born in 1951 in Philadelphia, she was raised in Margate, and eventually moved to Absecon.
Nancy graduated Holy Spirit High School in 1969 and went on to do various careers including being a hairdresser and avid crafter.
Gardening, planting flowers, happily spending time with her grandchildren, and cruising around the Caribbean was how she enjoyed spending her free time.
Nancy is predeceased by her parents, Virginia and Frank McGrath, as well as her brothers, Michael and Frankie McGrath, sisters, Joanne Adams and Barbara Sturgis. Nancy is survived by her husband, Stephen Gillespie, her son Jamie (Karen), and her daughter Melanie (Rob). Also survived by her brother, Edward McGrath (Dianna) and sister, Winnie Adams, Nancy's grandchildren, Gavin, Ella, Gabriel, Blake, and many special cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation will be 9:00AM to 10:45AM with a mass to follow at 11:00 am on Thursday, May 18th, 2023 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 591 New Jersey Avenue, Absecon NJ. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Atlantic County. Online condolences may be placed at www.parselsfh.com.
