Assunta Buonocore

Buonocore, Assunta (Susan) Louise, of Absecon passed away at the age of 70 on 10/29/2018. Susan was a beloved wife, mother, nana, sister, aunt and nurse. She is survived by her husband: James, children: Fortune, Jimmy, Matthew and Maria, grandchildren: James, Gabrielle, Joseph, Stephen, Nicholas, Sydney and Zach, great-grandchild: Colton, siblings: Freddie, Carmela, Joann and Maria, and her many loving nieces and nephews. Susan left a lasting impact on all the lives she touched through her unconditional love, warmth, supportive guidance and genuine care and concern for each person's well-being. Susan enjoyed spending time with her family, reading books, and playing puzzle games. Having never attended high school, at age 45, Susan obtained her GED and went on to graduate from Kingsborough Community College with a degree in Nursing. She served as an RN for the next 15 years until her retirement in 2014. She was an active member of the New Jersey Board of Nursing. Visitation will be 2-4 and 7-9 on Friday November 2, 2018 at Parsels Funeral Home, 324 New Jersey Ave., Absecon, NJ. There will also be viewing 9:30AM to 10:30AM on Saturday November 3 from at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11AM on Saturday at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 591 New Jersey Ave., Absecon.
