Basil Demari

Basil Demari, of Absecon. With deep sorrow, the DeMari Family, of Absecon, sadly announces the peaceful passing of Basil DeMari, on March 28, 2013. He was born October 21, 1928 in Atlantic City and has lived many years in Absecon. He was the owner of Basil DeMari Tile, until his retirement 22 years ago. He was a Korean War veteran, serving in the National Guard. Basil loved to hunt and fish with his friends, Jimmy, Lou, Charlie, Joe, and especially with his grandson, Mike. He especially enjoyed duck hunting and fishing for striper and flounder. He also owned race horses and enjoyed the race track with his friend Gene.

Basil leaves behind his beloved wife of 62 years, Marie; his two sons, Bill (Sandy) and Mike (Kathy); he will also be sadly missed by his grandchildren, Michael, Bobby, Kristin, Bill, Stephen and Dana; and his great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 6PM to 8PM, Monday, April 1, 2013 at Parsels Funeral Home, 324 New Jersey Ave., Absecon.
