Beverly R. Camp

Beverly Ray Norton Camp, 73, of Absecon, entered into eternal peace on August 12, 2014 after a courageous battle with cancer. She will be sadly missed by her husband of 57 years, Donald, who cherished her deeply, and three daughters: Diane (Peter) Stein, Lorraine (Peter) Dearth, and Bethanne Rocco. She was also a loving grandmother, sister, and aunt. Her six grandchildren will miss her greatly: Daniel, Kimberly, and Sarah Stein; Kevin and Connor Dearth; and Gabrielle Rocco. She will also be missed by her sister, June (Bob) Horton and brother Wesley, of Maine, and her brother Ronald, of Northfield, as well as by her many nieces and nephews. Beverly was the daughter of Evelyn (Sheppard) and Wesley Norton of Northfield, born at Mrs. Nales Nursing Home in Pleasantville. She graduated from Pleasantville High School and attended Atlantic Community College. She owned Beverly Camp Truck Leasing in the early 1970’s. Beverly retired after working for Absecon Board of Education for many years and was involved in a variety of activities. With her husband, Donald, she was active in many organizations in the Absecon area. She was a charter member of the Women of the Moose in the Galloway Township Lodge. She was a member of the United Methodist Church at Absecon. One of her favorite activities was spending time at the beach, especially with her grandchildren. Her true love was to travel, visiting countless destinations around the world with her husband Donald. Their last memorable trip was to Alaska where they visited Denali National Park. She had a lifelong love of reading and learning and continued taking classes throughout her life. Beverly will be remembered for her strength and her loving and caring personality. She is a role model for all who knew her. Memorial donations may be made in her honor to the United Methodist Church at Absecon.

Visitation will be 9AM to 11AM, Saturday, August 16, 2014 at the United Methodist Church at Absecon, 100 Pitney Rd, Absecon. A service will follow at the church at 11AM. Burial will follow at Zion Cemetery, Egg Harbor Twp. For those wishing, please send online condolences to www.parselsfh.com.
