Carolina G. Young

Carolina Gad Young, age 76, of Mays Landing, New Jersey, passed away on 7 March 2022. Born in Basey, Samar, Philippines, top of her class obtained her Master's degree at the University of the Philippines. She immigrated to the United States in 1976 and was employed as a Math Professor at Atlantic Cape Community College, then a Math teacher at Central Junior High Middle School in Atlantic City, and finally retired at Sovereign Ave School for a total of 30 years of teaching. In her free time, she enjoyed, cooking, dancing, worshiping the Lord, traveling, and reading. Carolina is predeceased by her parents, Nicolas and Saturnina (nee Gayon) Gad; two brothers: Alvaro Gad and Amado Gad; three sisters: Avelina Colaba, Virginia Calonge, and Gigi Roces. She is survived by her brother, Eliseo Gad; her beloved husband, John E Young Sr; her devoted children, Arcellito Arce and his wife, Anna Arce of Las Vegas, NV; Rossanna Arce of Atlantic City, NJ; Cyril Arce and his wife, Adrienne of Pensacola, FL and Ash-Shahiyd Gad Young and his wife, Kristi Young of Mays Landing NJ; Eight loving grandchildren, Samson Arce, Seth Arce, Montav Arce, Miranda Arce, Nya Arce, Isabella Arce, Elisemarie Young and Joachim Junya Young. Visitation will be held 10AM to 11:30 at St Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish, 591 New Jersey Ave, Absecon, NJ 08201 on Saturday, 12 March 2022.
