Charles C. Vicente

Charles C. Vicente Sr. died peacefully but suddenly on January 3rd, 2015. He leaves behind his loving and devoted wife of 46 years, Linda (Andalis), his daughter Michelle Korte' and husband Wayne, and his son Charles Jr. and wife Andrea. He is also survived by his five grandchildren, Madeline and Katherine Korte' and Charles III, Grace and Anna Vicente, who were his pride and joy. He is predeceased by his parents Louis and Edith (Rollinson) and is survived by his brothers Ronald (Carol), Robert (Leona), Donald (Christine), his sister Patricia Kolisnyk (Otto) and numerous nieces and nephews who adored and loved their uncle.

He was born and raised in Philadelphia and attended North Catholic High School. He served as a member of the United States Air Force prior to becoming employed by the Philadelphia Police Department (Fairmount Park Guard K-9 Unit). After 14 years of service he retired from law enforcement and became a member of Glaziers Local 252 out of Philadelphia where he was a member for 20 years. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, the Elks Lodge and IOOF. He enjoyed spending his retirement days working around automobiles. His passions were fishing, playing cards and Scrabble.

His priorities in life were providing for his family and his loving wife. Together they were avid cruisers and they enjoyed hosting various family functions. He adored his two children and was overjoyed when he became a grandfather. He was very much a family man and quickly his grandchildren's interests became his interests. He could always be found supporting one of their events. He will be sadly missed.

Visitation will be 8:45AM to 10:45AM Wednesday, January 7, 2015, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 591 New Jersey Ave., Absecon. A funeral mass will be offered at 11AM at the church. cremation will be private. For online condolences, please visit www.parselsfh.com.
