Charles (Chuck) H. Cordery, III, of Absecon, born December 1, 1946, passed away April 14, 2021. Charles left to be with the black knight to cut the other leg off. He was born in Atlantic City and was a long-time resident of Absecon. He was a Vietnam veteran serving on the USS Independence. He worked with Starn’s ShopRite for 36 years before his retirement. Chuck volunteered for 25 years, coaching baseball, hockey and basketball at EHTYO in Egg Harbor Twp. He loved coaching his children and their friends to many championships. His favorite was the Atlantic County B-Team 2-time undefeated champions in 1985 and 1986. In 2006 he was brought out of retirement to coach the EHT adult street hockey team to his last championship. He loved watching sports, his favorite team was the favorite of whatever one his children was in the room. But anyway, before they come…THE RED SOX SUCK!!!

Chuck is predeceased by his son, Marcus Cordery; and his brother, Robert Cordery. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Sophie (Hampton) Cordery; his six children, Charles F. Cordery (Ruth), Nicholas Cordery (Terry Carrelli), Christopher Cordery (Laura), Frederick Cordery (Lori), Sean Cordery and Sophie Kovel (Joe); his grandchildren, MacKenzie, Charles, Sarah, Jenna, Ariel, Christopher, Jaidyn, Dominique, Brandon, Sophie, Xander and Ben; his great-grandchildren, Ramsey and Maddie; his brother, James Cordery (Edna); his sister, Laura Cordery; as well as many other family members and friends.

A graveside service will be conducted at 12:30PM on Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at Atlantic County Veterans Cemetery, Estell Manor. Parsels Funeral Home, Absecon is handling arrangements. For online condolences, please visit www.parselsfh.com.
