Charles Richard Deboer

Charles Richard DeBoer, 73, former Staten Island resident, passed away Sunday, January 11, 2015, at his home in Absecon, NJ. Charles was born May 2, 1941, in Staten Island, New York, to Charles and Phyllis DeBoer. Brother to Vernon and Phyllis. Charles was known to his family as “Sonny.” Charles worked for many years at Cloves Lakes nursing home and Carmel Richmond Healthcare as a maintenance supervisor where Charlie, “Keys” can fix just about anything. Charlie enjoyed woodworking and building furniture and rocking horses. Another passion was his love of restoring classic cars.

He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Yvonne. He is also survived by his children, Margaret, Victoria, John, Christopher, and Yvonne, and spouses, and fifteen grandchildren.
