Swartz, Charles (Chuck) William, of Absecon, NJ, passed away unexpectedly at his home, on Thursday, January 12, 2017, due to deep vein thrombosis (blood clot).
Chuck was born on October 28, 1976, in Somers Point, NJ. He grew up in Atlantic County and was a graduate of Egg Harbor Township High School in 1984. He was a hard worker who shared almost fifteen years with his friends and coworkers at Atlantic County Utilities Authority (ACUA), where he was employed for most of his adult life. Prior to beginning his work at ACUA, Chuck worked at ShopRite in Egg Harbor Township.
Chuck had a great smile, and was a strong, yet sensitive man who loved his family and friends, and enjoyed spending time with them. He was quiet at first, but mischievous and would frequently be silly to make people laugh. Chocolate milk was his beverage of choice and he loved nothing more than a good water gun fight. In his spare time he enjoyed video games and music, collecting comic books, and dreaming about restoring his blue 1968 Pontiac Firebird. He especially loved children and animals and was a protective and loyal husband, father, son, and uncle. He had a soft heart, helping all he could in many ways, giving of his time and providing assistance to others.
Devastated by their loss, Chuck is mourned by his wife, Susan (Bobbie) Swartz, and their children, daughter Jessica and son-in-law David Santillan, and sons Anthony and Austin, and grandson David; his parents, Cynthia (Ferebee) Swartz and Charles T. Swartz, and stepmother Michelle Swartz; along with his siblings, brother Robert Swartz and sister Kelli (Swartz) Lemon, with her husband Charles Lemon, niece Kayla, and nephew Skyler; his sister-in-law Stephanie Bobbie and her boyfriend Zack Pugliese, and nephews Gian, Dylan, and Bryson, and sister-in-law Rose Bobbie and niece Emma. Chuck was predeceased by his stepfather Arthur Webb, Sr. and his grandfather George Ferebee, Sr. and is survived by his grandmother Geraldine (Page) Ferebee, mother-in-law Susan Bobbie and father-in-law Anthony Bobbie, and many additional family members and friends. We were all blessed to have had Chuck in our lives for so short a time. May God repose his soul.
