DeSimone, Concetta E. (Panarelli), 87, of Absecon, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 5, 2018, with her husband by her side. A lifelong resident of Atlantic County, Concetta was born in Atlantic City to Giovanina (Sacca) and Giuseppe Panarelli. She attended St. Michael’s Elementary School and graduated from Atlantic City High School. She worked in her family’s Italian bakery for many years. She met and married the ‘true love of her life’, Victor DeSimone, the original owner of Vic’s Subs Shop in Absecon, where she worked with her husband, brother-in-law and sister-in-law, John and Kay DeSimone. Concetta and Victor enjoyed traveling, especially to Italy, her favorite destination. A devoted Catholic, Concetta was a member of Catholic Daughters and enjoyed working for the church in her younger days. She is survived by her devoted husband, Victor and her brother, Anthony Panarelli (Louise); and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Bridgette Vitanza and her brother, Salvatore Panarelli. Funeral Services will be held at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 591 New Jersey Ave., Absecon, on Monday, June 11, 2018, beginning with visitation from 9:30AM to 10:45AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial beginning at 11AM. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Mays Landing. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church.
