Obituary For Cynthia 'Cyndi' Shrager-Gustein

Shrager-Gustein, Cynthia ‘Cyndi’, of Atlantic City: In loving memory of our mother Cynthia ‘Cyndi’ Shrager-Gustein who passed away August 7th 2022 at 7:07 pm at the age of 65. She was a wonderfully loving and caring mother who will be forever remembered by her children, Michelle ‘Gustein’ Wolverton, Ashley Gustein, and Chase Gustein. She is also forever in the hearts of her grandbabies, Chloe Wolverton, Ava Smith and Chase Gustein II.

She was born in Camden, NJ and raised in Margate with her parents. She began her career as a dealer at Caesars Casino in Atlantic city while attending the nursing program at Atlantic Cape Community College. While attending nursing school she realized she had an entrepreneurial spirit and spent the majority of her career as a business owner of Designers Image Bridal Salon and most recently as a realtor. She was a free spirit and lived to listen to music and dance like no one was watching. She enjoyed anything outdoors and the peace and serenity of fishing, camping, and relaxing by bonfires. She always had a pet by her side and would truly give anyone the shirt off her back if they needed it.

A private family ceremony will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Diabetes Research Foundation. Please share stories and pictures to celebrate Cyndi’s life at www.parselsfh.com.

I have been torn over the fact that you are gone Dukie. I will always remember you as someone that could talk for hours about anything, someone that always gave me advice every time I talked to you, no matter if I asked for it or not, and someone that cared about everyone around you. I will miss hanging out with you, your hugs, and your Chloe's Corner texts with the corniest dad jokes that made me smile every time you sent one. I'm going to miss giving you a kiss and a hug every time you hung up the phone. You were so proud of me and always said how much you loved your grand baby, and you always made sure I knew that, I'll really miss that. I love you so much and always will, be free now Dukie <3

Dear Mama Dukes, I know that you are in a beautiful place right now with no more pain and suffering. You are an extremely strong person. I know you were through a lot in your life and you still would give the shirt off your back even if you were freezing. Your gifts were more than thoughtful and did not need to be expensive and that's what counts. We all love you and you will be missed. Thank you for dealing with me throughout the years and we talked a lot and grew and we understood each other more. I love you Dookie. From Bryan

There are no words to express how heartbroken I am that you are gone, Mama. I will always cherish our conversations, your wisdom, your advice, and your candor when I needed it but didn't want to hear it. I'll always remember driving with the top down, music, laughter, concerts, camping, and just hanging with my "Mama Dukes". You made the best grilled cheese sandwiches and tea with honey when I didn't feel good. You could always make me feel so special and I'll really miss that. You had such an ability to stay strong no matter what obstacle or challenge you faced and I'll always admire that and hope to be like that as I face the world witbout you. You are free to soar with the angels now. BE FREE MAMA!!!

We Offer the Book of Memories™

Parsels Funeral Home offers what we consider to be the finest example of online memorials, the Book of Memories™. Created by an award-winning team of web developers and designers while being led by a funeral professional with over 25 years of experience, this online memorial is intended to provide your family with a permanent place to pay tribute to your loved one.

Far more than a traditional obituary—which is usually published only once and has no interactivity at all—the Book of Memories™ Memorial Website is a fully interactive archive of treasured photographs and stories remembered from their time spent with friends, family, neighbors, and co-workers.

You’ll be able to invite others to visit the online memorial, where they can upload images, share stories, write heart-felt messages of condolence, send a floral tribute to the funeral, or make a charitable donation in memory of your loved one. And the built-in social media integration means they can then “spread the word” about their addition to your loved one’s Book of Memories™ using Facebook and Twitter.

We offer the families we serve a Book of Memories™ memorial website with the intention that it gives you a measure of solace and comfort during the coming months. To arrange for a Book of Memories® memorial website for your loved one, contact us today.
