Daniel F. Champion, 89, a lifelong resident of Egg Harbor Twp., died Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at his home. Daniel worked with Giberson Oil for many years, as a truck driver and then worked at Lenox China as a kiln worker, until his retirement. His hobbies included NASCAR, travelling to the Dover Raceway regularly to see races. He also enjoyed building model trucks, including making Hess Trucks and also going to the boardwalk with his wife.
He is predeceased by his sons, Daniel R., Joseph F. and Patrick A. Champion. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Thelma M. (nee Patterson); his daughters, Anna Hartman, Eleanor Todd, Marge Whitaker, Margaret Shaw, Ellen Ireland, Dorothy Bosco; his son, Francis Champion; his brothers, George, Jack and Charlie Champion; his sisters Margie Elliott and Eleanor Scarlett; his grandchildren, Gregory and Dawn as well as many other grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 10AM to 12PM, Saturday, March 7, 2015 at Parsels Funeral Home, 324 New Jersey Ave., Absecon. A service will be held immediately at 12PM at the funeral home.
