Crespo, Delia (Lazo), November 26,1928-January 29, 2024, Our dearest mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed away surrounded by those who loved her the most in Absecon, NJ. Born in Cuba in 1928, she moved to the US with her family in 1955. She then worked in the Garment District before going to work with her husband in their family business. Delia had a love for craft sewing which resulted in amazing Halloween costumes for her grandchildren, as well as Christmas Tree skirts and other one-of-a-kind home decor items. She also had an inappropriate sense of humor and a love of Yankees Baseball (both of which were clearly genetic), as well as a way of looking at the world around her with a child like wonder that made her a fan favorite with the young and old children in her life.
She was predeceased by her parents; her five siblings; and her beloved husband, Oscar Crespo. She is survived by her daughter, Maria and her son-in-Law, Michael; her grandchildren, Storey Hess (Damien), Nicholas Huddy (Meredith), and Michele DiNardo (Greg “Caballero”); her Great-Grandchildren, Alexander and Jemma; and many nieces and nephews. Delia’s family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Preferred Care in Absecon for taking such good care of her. For online condolences, please visit www.parselsfh.com.
