Obituary For Desiderio Banto
Desiderio Banto, 79, of Absecon, passed away peacefully at home with his wife by his side on November 7, 2024. Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He came to this country in 1971 and has lived and raised his family in Absecon for 50 years. Desiderio spent his career as an auto mechanic and passed on his love of his trade to both his sons. Desiderio was a simple man who enjoyed spending time at home with his family and his beloved cat, Gatto.
Desiderio is predeceased by his parents and his oldest son, Claudio Banto. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Carolina (Leva) Banto; his children, Nestor Banto, Monica (Thomas) Babecki, and Teresa Banto; his grandchildren, Chaz Banto, Jessica Banto, Brandon Banto, Nicole (Matthew) Collins, Tommy Babecki, Michael Licari, Eddie Babecki, and Claudia Banto; his first great-grandchild Mason Jay Collins.
Visitation will be 11:15 AM to 12:15PM on Tuesday November 12, 2024, at Parsels Funeral Home, 324 New Jersey Ave, Absecon, NJ 08201. A service and burial will immediately follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Mays Landing, NJ. Online condolences may be placed at www.parselsfh.com.
