Devante Jordan Schriver

DeVante Schriver, aka Vant, 23 years young, of Absecon, NJ. Devante passed unexpectedly in the early hours of Sunday, February 7, 2021. He was born August 29, 1997 in Pomona, NJ. A life-long resident of Galloway, he was a graduate of Holy Spirit High School. DeVante loved playing football, pool and cooking in his mother’s restaurant, Naomi’s Café. He enjoyed spending time with his family and most importantly his baby girl, Isabel. He loved to shop and carry stacks of money even if they were all ONES. We are going to miss his contagious smile and unique walk. He was a great father, loving son, playful brother and hilarious friend.

DeVante is survived by his daughter, Isabel Schriver-Rodriguez; his mother, Melinda A. Schriver; his father, Norman Gates; his sisters, Nyasia and Naomi Schriver-Chike-Obi; his grandmother and grandfather, Anne Schriver and Robert Schriver, Jr.; his step-dad, Curtis Tribbitt; his aunts, Alice Schriver and Deanna Robinson; his uncles, Paul Luker, Russell Carty, Michael and Kenneth Gates; his cousins, Russell and Allison Luker; his niece and nephew, Hermoine and Cameron Hunter; and a host of other close family and friends.

DeVante Will be missed terribly by all who had the privilege of knowing him. Visitation will be 3PM to 4PM with a service being conducted at 4PM on Friday, February 12, 2021 at Parsels Funeral Home, 324 New Jersey Ave., Absecon.
