Obituary For Dorothy Iaconelli
Dorothy “Dottie” F. Iaconelli, 84, of Absecon, NJ was called home on Thursday, November 25, 2021. Dorothy went to be with the Lord surrounded by her loving family. Dottie is now reunited with her husband of 57 years, Anthony, and so many other loved ones who went home before her. Dottie worked hard her whole life and held many titles. She was a loving wife, mother of five boys, grandmother of eight, and great grandmother of six. Dottie loved unconditionally and loved spending time with family. She cherished her brother, sister and all her extended family and friends. Dottie was blessed to have so many wonderful people in her life as she got older who she enjoyed spending time with, including those who drove her to church, shopping, doctors, hair appointments, or just out to lunch. You special people know who you are and we thank you. Dottie is predeceased by her husband, Anthony; brother, Donald Peterson; sister, Carol Thompson; mother-in-law, Helen Iaconelli; father-in-law, Tony Iaconelli, and her daughter-in-law, Helen Ann Iaconelli, as well as brothers-in-law, aunts and cousins. Dottie is survived by her five sons, Anthony (Maria), Michael (Helen), Steven (Christi), Kevin (Carol) and Matthew; her grandchildren, Michael (Lauren), Gregory (Lucy), Anthony (Kate), Ryan (Emma), Megan, Chase, Hannah (Matt), and Ian; great grandchildren, Dominic, Jameson, Callie Mae, Kenadee, Helen Rose, and Tatum Marie; as well as her sisters-in-law, Ellen Duffy and Terry Iaconelli; many nieces and nephews; and breakfast buddy, Marie, all of whom she loved dearly. Burial will be private and a memorial service will follow at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Dottie’s name to a charity of your choice.
