Dorothy May Kammerer

Dorothy May Kammerer, 87, of Absecon, passed away Thursday, November 28, 2013 at her home. Born and raised in Pleasantville, she’s lived in Absecon for 44 years. Mrs. Kammerer worked in retail throughout her working years. She worked for several stores in the area, lastly working for Sears in Egg Harbor Twp., retiring several years ago. In her pastime, she enjoyed crocheting and sewing, baking and in her earlier years, bowling.

She is predeceased by her husband, William F. Kammerer and her daughter, Dorothy Anne Kammerer. She is survived by her daughters, Jean M. Kammerer of Mays Landing and Susan Ohnemuller of Galloway; her granddaughter, Samantha Adams of Galloway; and her sister, Gladys Hires of Nashville, TN.

A memorial gathering will be 10AM to 11:30AM, with a service at 11:30, Tuesday, December 3, 2013 at Parsels Funeral Home, 324 New Jersey Ave., Absecon.
