Elaine Zipfel

Elaine Zipfel died in her sleep on June 6, in the same house she had been born in. She was born to Anne Lupton on February 2, 1938. Elaine was very premature and was the first infant in Atlantic City Hospital's new incubator. She would always be petite, but she did well in school. She graduated from Pleasantville High School in 1957, and a few weeks later married local boy Albert Zipfel Jr. They went on to have five children, (in just under six years!). Elaine was a skilled gardener and an excellent cook. She enjoyed sewing, fishing with Albert, and camping with the grandchildren. For her, family was truly the center of her existence. Elaine is predeceased by her husband of sixty-three years, Albert Zipfel Jr. She also suffered the loss of two of her children, only son, Albert III and her youngest daughter, Linda (Phil) McCorkel. Surviving are three daughters, Sarah Snow and Cathy Zipfel of Galloway and Judy Zipfel of EHT. "Mommom" leaves behind grieving grandchildren, Chris (Brittany) Zipfel, Audrey (Dustin) Adams, Diane (Joe) Kranich, Jason Zikeli and Lauren (Matt) VanSant; as well as nine great-grandkids ; Emma, Kade, Joey, Dustin, Hannah, Charlie, Hayden, Collin and Elaine. Visitation will be 11AM to 12PM on Friday, June 10, 2022 at Parsels Funeral Home, 324 New Jersey Ave., Absecon. A service will follow at 12PM at the funeral home.
