Elizabeth Boucher

Boucher, Elizabeth (Betty nee Merkord), 91, passed away peacefully on December 10, 2024, at home with her family by her side. Born on November 7, 1933, Betty grew up on a farm on Mannheim Ave. in the Germania section of Galloway Township, before relocating to Absecon, NJ, where she resided with her family for the past 61 years.

Betty spent her entire life as a homemaker. She enjoyed reading books and spending time with her extended family. She especially enjoyed holidays, with Thanksgiving and Christmas being her favorites. She also enjoyed camping and vacationing in the mountains of Pennsylvania.

Elizabeth is predeceased by husband, Henry R. Boucher (the love of her life); son, Scott M. Boucher Sr.; father, Albert H. Merkord; and mother, Alice May Merkord. Betty is survived by her sons, Robert Boucher, Walter Newman Jr, Albert Newman, John Newman (Lori), and Mark Boucher (Evelyn); grandchildren, Albert Newman (Beth), Greg Newman (Audrey), Jeff Newman (Ann), John Newman Jr. (Colleen), Kimberly Ale, Jennifer Chamberlain (Anthony), Scott Boucher Jr., Bethanne Boucher, Melissa Achey (Brendon), Kevin Newman (Ciarra), Mark Boucher Jr. (Teresa), and many great-grandchildren.

Thank you to all family members and friends who assisted and supported Betty during her final days, with special thanks to Jackie Boucher for extended help and residing with Betty during this difficult period.
