Elsie B. Keeping

Keeping, Elsie B. (Carr), 83, of Absecon, passed away July 20, 2023. Born in Atlantic City, she grew up in the inlet and graduated from Atlantic City High School, before moving to Absecon where she was a resident for 64 years. Elsie has been a long-time member of the United Methodist Church at Absecon. Family was very important to Elsie and she was very dedicated to her husband, children and grandchildren. In her free time, she enjoyed crafting and attending craft shows. She also enjoyed travelling with her husband, Jim.

She is predeceased by her parents, Walter and Anna (Holgate) Carr; and her 6 sisters and 2 brothers. She is survived by her devoted husband of 62 years, N. James Keeping; her children, James Keeping, Michael Keeping (Allison) and Stacy Kaus (Brian); her grandchildren, Mike (Jaci), Doug (Mary), Connor and Chelsea; her great-grandchildren, James and Avery; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 10AM to 11AM on Tuesday, July 25, 2023 at United Methodist Church at Absecon, 100 Pitney Rd., Absecon, NJ 08201. A service will follow immediately at 11AM. Burial will be private.
