Obituary For Fiorello B. 'The Fal' Falzetta
It is with deep sorrow and much love that the family announces the passing of Fiorella B. ‘The Fal’ Falzetta, of Absecon, NJ on Friday, December 20, 2024, at the age of 90 years young.
Fiore was born June 5, 1934 to Italian, immigrant parents, Giuseppe and Elvira Falzetta, in Atlantic City, NJ. He attended St. Michael Catholic School and Atlantic City High School. He resided in Atlantic City until 1982 when he moved to Absecon, NJ with the love of his life, Louan and son, Michael.
At a young age Fiore enlisted in the United States Navy and proudly served aboard the USS Roosevelt until earning his honorable discharge. After serving in the military, Fiore continued his love of service and brotherhood by becoming a fireman with the Atlantic City Fire Department, Station One. Upon retirement from the fire department, he began his final career as a blackjack dealer for Caesar’s.
‘The Fal’ had many loves in life, like crabbing, fishing, vacationing, reading, watching the History Channel, cooking and wood working. He created quite a few masterpieces down in the basement over the years. He particularly enjoyed good conversation with family and friends over a cold Heineken or glass of chianti. Anybody who knew ‘The Fal’ loved ‘The Fal’.
Fiore is predeceased by his parents, Giuseppe and Elvira Falzetta; brother, John Falzetta; and son, Michael Daniels. He is survived by his wife of nearly 50 years, Louan ‘Pete’ (nee Hauser) Falzetta; son, Robert Spitzer; daughter-in-law, Kelly Daniels; grandchildren, Katelyn, Emma and Michael Jr.; sister, Gloria McGlynn; and many loving nieces, nephews, family and friends.
