George Young

George E. Young, 94, of Absecon, NJ, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 27, 2013 at Absecon Manor Nursing Center. He was born August 23, 1918, in Elizabeth, NJ to George and Ava Young. George was a loving brother to the late Betty Craig and husband to the late Helen Wells, Norma Livingston and Marian Duetsch.

George served in the Army as a Master Sergeant during WWII. He graduated Drexel University as an engineer and worked for LinkBelt his entire career. He retired to his beloved St. Augustine, Florida in 1981. George loved to dance and work in the garden. He was also great with his hands and could fix anything around the house.

He is survived by his loving daughters; Mary Popilock, Donna Komorowski (John), Kathleen Minarik and Elizabeth Young; His cherished grandchildren; Gwen, John, Tami, Keith, Kristin and Danielle as well as his adored eight great-grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held at Parsels Funeral Home, 324 New Jersey Avenue, Absecon, NJ on Monday, August 5th from 1pm to 3pm.
