Houck, Glen A., 80, of Brigantine, New Jersey, formerly of Turnersville, passed away on Wednesday, April 2nd, 2014, after a courageous battle with cancer. Glen, son of Gerald and Laura Lee (Baker) was born and raised in Tucson, Arizona with his siblings; Laurie Houck, Geralee Brintnall, Mollilou Forbes and Duane Houck.
Glen was a graduate of the University of Arizona. He served in the U.S. Army earning the rank of First Lieutenant. Glen worked for RCA as an electrical engineer for over thirty years with numerous successes in America’s space efforts in the communication and defense fields.
His greatest success was his 48 year marriage to his late wife, Patricia (Conley). Together the couple raised 5 children, Eileen Healey(Christopher) of Swedesboro, Mary Kay Houck of Brigantine, Sharon Schlatter(Brian) of Absecon, Gerald Houck(Trisha) of Galloway, and Thomas Houck(Lisa) of Turnersville. Glen will be missed by his loving grandchildren; Christopher, Jack, Regan, Brendan, Dylan, Kavan, Shane, Brady, Emmett, Cecilia, Nathan, Nicole, and Hailey.
Friends and family are invited to attend a memorial service celebrating Glen’s life on Monday, April 7th, 2014. Friends may visit with family from 9:00 AM to 10:00AM, with a service to follow, at the Tuscany House-Renault Winery in Egg Harbor City. In lieu of flowers a memorial contribution may be made in his name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
