Griffith E. Jones

Griffith (Griff) E. Jones, Jr., 54, of Galloway, passed away Saturday, October 19, 2013 at Atlanticare, Mainland. Born in Pleasantville, he grew up in Absecon and has lived in Galloway for the past 16 years. He was a table games dealer with Borgata Casino for the past 10 years. Prior to that, he worked at the Sands Casino for several years. Griff was a football fan and an avid Giants fan. He also loved boating and being out on the water. He especially loved his family and playing with his children. He also loved his dogs.

He is survived by his wife Geri (nee Bernard); his children, Stephanie, Joe, Willie, Gage and Landon; his mother, Hilda Jones; his sister, Kim Clark; his brothers, Steve and Kevin Jones; his nieces and nephews, Steven, Nicholas, Jenna, Meghan, Zachary, Kevin, Kyle and Courtney. He also leaves behind many friends, including his best friends, Ivan Barbara, Frank Savittieri and Bob Wahl; and his friend and cousin, Bob Pope.

Visitation will be at Parsels Funeral Home, 324 New Jersey Ave., Absecon, on Thursday from 6PM to 8PM. Viewing will also be on Friday from 2PM to 4PM at the funeral home. A service will be offered Friday afternoon at 5 PM at St. Mark’s All Saints Church, 429 South Pitney Rd., Galloway. Please be casual when attending the services and wear your favorite sports jersey. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to the ‘Jones Children Education Fund’. A deposit may be made at any TD Bank.
