Harvey Lawrence

Harvey “Len” Lawrence, 85, of Absecon, passed away Friday, April 18, 2014. Born in Pleasantville, he grew up there before moving to Absecon in 1964. Mr. Lawrence was a veteran of the US Army, proudly serving during the Korean Conflict. He worked as an installer for Frank Vincent and Miami-Somers. After that, Len was a self-employed handyman, having his own repair service, known for being able to fix anything, before retiring 12 years ago. He enjoyed vacationing with his wife, especially on cruises and to Las Vegas. He also loved going on trips with his family. Len enjoyed music, playing the violin and harmonica, especially at family birthday parties.

He is predeceased by his loving wife, Dolores “Dee”, and his brother and sister, Donald Lawrence and Marjorie Adkisson. He is survived by his children, Kathy (Harvey) Coopersmith, Karen (Karl) Jaschick and Ken (Mary) Lawrence; his brother, Bob (Sue) Lawrence; and his grandchildren, Adam, Kevin, Nicole, Lexi and Chad.

Visitation will be 10AM to 11:30AM, Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at Parsels Funeral Home, 324 New Jersey Ave., Absecon. A service will follow immediately at 11:30AM. Burial will take place at Laurel Memorial Park, Egg Harbor Twp. For online condolences, please visit www.parselsfh.com.
