Helen Marie Beres

Helen Marie Beres, 73, of Absecon, died February 9, 2021 at Our Lady's Center for Rehabilitation & Healthcare in Pleasantville, New Jersey. Born to Helen and John Beres of Carteret in 1947, Helen was a graduate of Carteret High School and the former Berkeley Secretarial School, now Berkeley College, in Manhattan. Helen held several executive secretarial jobs in Manhattan during her career, including at CBS and the American Management Association. She enjoyed travel and visited England and Western European countries in the 1970s.

Helen is survived by her childhood friends, Nancy Van Allen, Hildur Mercure, and Arlene Pashman. She is also survived by a goddaughter in Hungary. She was predeceased by her parents, Helen and John Beres, and a number of cousins.

Funeral arrangements are being handled by Parsels Funeral Home in Absecon. A private graveside service will be held at St. Gertrude Cemetery in Colonia.
