Isidoro Genova

Isidoro Genova, 82, of Absecon, passed away May 13, 2021. He was born in Delia, Sicily on September 1, 1938. He met and married his monceri Therese in France and proudly came to the USA in 1972. He loved America and he would often sing about this great opportunity of the land. He had a larger-than-life personality and loved to have fun and make people laugh. He worked in the casinos in Atlantic City, NJ as a food server and as a dealer. He loved to garden and spend time with his family.

He is preceded in death by his son, Francois; his parents, Francesco and Genoveffa; his sister, Josephine; his brother, Calogero; his niece, Genny LoPorto; and Therese’s parents, Henri and Fernande Leconte. He is survived by his loving wife, Therese; his sons, Henri and Francois; his brother, Giovanni; his sister Angela (Niece, Josey); sister-in-law, Maria Rosa (Niece, Genny & Jerry; great-nephews, Gerardo, Antonio, Vittorio, Vincenzo); and (Niece, Livia & Matthew; great-Niece, Fabiola); and many cousins, family & friends in U.S, Canada, Italy, and France.

Visitation will be 9:30AM to 10:30AM on Monday, May 17, 2021 at Parsels Funeral Home, 324 New Jersey Ave., Absecon. A funeral mass will be offered at 11AM at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 591 New Jersey Ave., Absecon. Mausoleum service will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Mays Landing.
