Jacqueline J. (Cronin) Sooy (Jackie), 74, of Galloway, passed away peacefully, with her family by her side, on August 16, 2021. Born in Philadelphia, she was raised in Pottstown, PA. She’s been an Atlantic County resident since 1971, moving to Galloway in 1996. Jackie worked as a blackjack dealer, beginning her career at the Playboy Casino, working at the Atlantis and retiring from the Trump Marina and Golden Nugget. In her free time, she enjoyed gardening and was a Nascar fan. She enjoyed her trips to Daytona and Delaware to watch races in person. She also enjoyed spending time at the Scranton Bar in Atlantic City and The Black Cat in Absecon.
She is predeceased by her husband, Edward (Chet) Sooy. She’s survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Jacqueline A. Cronin Huff and Dan Huff; and her granddaughter, Sara Huff.
