James G. Tindaro, 90, of Galloway Twp, passed away Thursday, February 20, 2014 at Healthcenter at Galloway. Born in Philadelphia, PA, he then lived in Atlantic City before moving to Galloway Twp. 34 years ago. Mr. Tindaro was a veteran of the US Army. He was discharged in 1945 and then immediately re-enlisted in the US Air Force, where he spent his career, serving for 23 years, and retiring as a Staff Sergeant. After retiring , he worked at Angelo’s Fairmount Tavern in Atlantic City for many years referring to everyone there as his “second family”. He was a member of VFW Post # 9462 in Absecon. He was an avid Philadelphia sports team fan, unless ‘they were losing!’. James also enjoyed making sure the family’s two dogs had plenty of treats.
He is survived by his daughter, Jessica Sorshek and her Fiance Wally; and Jessica's sons Justin and Billy Sorshek, his step-daughters Patty and Cindy and their children and Jessica’s mother, Mary.
A memorial gathering will be 1PM to 3PM, Saturday, March 8, 2014 at Parsels Funeral Home, 324 New Jersey Ave., Absecon. A service will follow immediately at 3PM. For online condolences, please visit www.parselsfh.com
