Meyers, James R., 84, of Smithville, peacefully passed away May 13, 2018. Born in Jersey City, he lived in Bayonne and East Brunswick before moving to the Four Seasons Adult Community 21years ago. Mr. Meyers was an Airman First Class in the US Air Force and served during the Korean War. He worked in sales and marketing for 33 years with AT&T before retiring in 1989. A devote husband, family man, and caregiver, he was a man who always had a smile on his face and thoroughly enjoyed being with family and friends. In addition to his time as a member of the Four Seasons Veteran’s Club, he loved fishing, golfing, watching reality television, dining out, and especially enjoying his desserts.
He is predeceased by his parents, Jacob M. and Margaret Meyer; his wife, Elizabeth A. Meyers; and his son, James Meyers. He is survived by his daughter, Joanne Abrams; his son-in-law, Nelson; his daughter-in-law; Toni; his brother, Robert James Meyer; his sister-in-law, Lena; his grandchildren, Nelson and Chelsea Abrams and Christina and Kelli Meyers.
