Janice Lowry, age 72, of Galloway, NJ, passed away peacefully on June 5, 2014 in her home with family by her side, after battling cancer for the previous six months. Janice always spoke fondly of her early years growing up on a dairy farm, time with her brothers, and her many dear childhood, high school, and college friends. She was a member of the East Canton United Methodist Church and 4H. Her love of music extended to playing piano and trumpet and attending all sorts of music events. She graduated from Lycoming College and Williamsport School of Nursing, and as a RN, she dedicated her entire career to pediatric nursing, first at Atlantic City Hospital and then retired from Children’s Seashore House, Atlantic City, NJ after 17 years as Inservice Director. She then taught CPR and first aid at Atlantic County Special Services of NJ. In retirement, she enjoyed attending pool exercise classes and developed wonderful relationships with her fellow pool classmates. She also enjoyed travel with her daughter to Europe, Peru and Egypt and annual family vacations to Cabo San Lucas with friends. Janice was an avid NBA fan and always enjoyed discussing daily world news and politics.
