Jay B. Brown

Jay B. Brown, 78, of Absecon, passed away Monday, November 24, 2014. He was born and raised in Hatboro, PA but he mostly enjoyed his childhood days in Ocean City where he was known as a great swimmer. Later he moved to Absecon where he has resided for over 50 years. He is a graduate of Bloomfield College in N.J. and served in the United States Naval Reserves. Jay had many jobs through his life, for many years he worked for Boardwalk National Bank in their Mortgage and Loan department. He was also a NJ licensed real estate agent, working in the Atlantic County area. He later served as a funeral assistant with Parsels Funeral Home in Absecon, where he wore many hats thru his years there.

He is predeceased by his parents, Walter I. and Elsie B. (nee Morris) Brown; and his brother, Walter Brown. He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Mardell (nee Spangler) Kelly-Brown; his children, Michele (Bill) Wheatley, Stephen (Beverly) Brown, Rayfield and Kim; 7 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; as well as his first wife, Lucette Brown Showell.
