Jean V. Love, 90, of Galloway, passed away Sunday, May 4, 2014 at Spring Village at Galloway. Born in Spring Lake, NJ, she grew up in Manasquan, graduating from Manasquan High School in 1941. After marrying her husband, William H. Love in 1946, they lived in Westwood before relocating to Barnegat where she lived for over 20 years. Jean worked for the War Department at Camp Evans in Belmar and Fort Monmouth, NJ as a stenographer. She later enlisted in the US Navy from 1944-1946, serving at Cedar Falls, Iowa, New York City, and Princeton, NJ. She worked for Passaic General Hospital in the 1950’s and Pascack Valley Hospital in the 1960’s. Jean enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Love is predeceased by her husband, William H. She is survived by her children, Bill (Pat) of Derry, NH, Tom (Alyce) of Galloway, NJ, Bob (Robert Riedl) of Bellevue, WA, and her step-daughter, Eileen of Conyers, GA; her sister Jackie Wallace of Mims, FL and brother Joe (Nancy) Love of Point Pleasant, NJ; her grandchildren, Ian Love, Timothy Love, Erin (Eric) Korsvall, Corey (Gill) Love and Kyle (Amanda) Love; and her great-grandchildren, Emilia, Anna and Julia Korsvall.
A graveside service will be conducted 11:30AM, Friday, May 9, 2014 at George Washington Memorial Park, 234 Paramus Rd., Paramus, NJ.
