Joan M. Richmond

Richmond, Joan M. (Susick), born December 22, 1926 in Philadelphia, was called to the Lord on October 11, 2017. The family settled in Margate in 1960. She graduated Villa Maria Academy. Joan was the Proud mother of Michael (Kim) of Margate, Kevin Joseph (former marine), of Ventnor, Richard (Maureen), of Linwood and her beloved daughter Kelly (John) of Absecon, who cared for her until the time of her passing. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Ashley, Michael, Marissa, Rebecca, John, Richard, Fiona and Sophia, who are her legacy. She also leaves her favorite nephew, Robert Creeden (Judy) of Poughkeepsie, NY. Joan is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph G; sister, Catherine; sister-in-law, Susan; and her niece, Gabrielle. Joan enjoyed the 32 years she spent working for the City of Margate. Joan was a parishioner of Blessed Sacrament in Margate. Her Catholic faith was omnipresent enabling her to give Faith, Hope and infinite Love to everyone she encountered. Special thanks to Fr. Bob from St. Elizabeth Anne Seton Church and Angelic Hospice for their compassion. Funeral Mass will be offered 11AM October 19, 2017 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 591 New Jersey Ave., Absecon.
