John Depunte

John H. dePunte, of Pleasantville, died Thursday, January 3, 2013 at Atlanticare, Galloway. Born in Wilmington, DE, he lived many years in Pleasantville before moving to Port St. Lucie, Fl. in 1983. He moved back to New Jersey in 2006 and resided in Egg Harbor Township with his daughters. Mr. dePunted retired from Seaview Country Club in Galloway, working there as a bellman for many years. His hobbies included crabbing, jai alai, going to the racetrack and he loved going to the casinos. He also enjoyed spending time at the beach, especially with his daughters, when they were younger.

He is predeceased by his wife, Jane (nee Peterson); his son, Johnny dePunte; his daughter, Patti dePunte; his parents, Herman and Evelyn dePunte; and his brother, Donald dePunte. He is survived by his children, Kathy (Harry) Carty of Estell Manor, Mary (Michael) Sheridan of Egg Harbor Township, Jane dePunte (companion Tom Gregory) of Egg Harbor Township and Susie (Jimmy) Sparano of Egg Harbor City; his brother, Robert (Barbara) dePunte of Port St. Lucie, Fl; his grandchildren, Shane (Amanda) Carty, Brett Carty, Jennifer Keller (companion Chris Byers), Johanna Camp (companion TJ Coppick), William Camp, Nicole (Jonathan) Nieves, Paul Van Syckle (companion Michelle), Jamie Van Syckle (companion Michael Dixon), Joseph Spivey, Joshua Spivey, Taylor Hunt, Jimmy (Emilee) Sparano, Jr., Stephanie Sparano (fianc Nick Mancuso) and Christopher Sparano; and his great-grandchildren, Angelo and Adrianna Fodera, Nina Byers, Gabriella Nieves, Anthony Armitage, Deanna, Gracie and Gabriella Dixon and Jaiden Van Syckle; as well as several nieces and nephews.
