Joseph W. Lingelbach, 79, of Galloway and Big Island, VA, passed away Friday, April 26, 2013, at home, surrounded by his family. Born and raised in Galloway, he moved to Big Island, VA in 1989. Mr. Lingelbach was a machinist with Point Machine Shop in Somers Point, working there many years. He was a US Army veteran, serving during the Korean Conflict. He was a long time member of the Absecon Fire Department. His hobbies included hunting, word working and raising livestock.
He is predeceased by his wife, Frances M. (nee Gallus) Lingelbach. He is survived by his sons, Joseph A. (Sherry) Lingelbach of Egg Harbor City and Lt. Colonel John F. (Kimberly) Lingelbach, of Florida; his sister, Doris (Anthony) Bocelle of Absecon; and his grandchildren, Sidney, Rebekah, Joseph, Joshua, Jonathan, AnnaSophia, Chelsea, John (Rebecca), and Taylor.
A memorial gathering will be 1PM to 2PM, Sunday, May 5, 2013 at Parsels Funeral Home, 324 New Jersey Ave., Absecon. A service will follow immediately at 2PM. Interment will take place at Germania Cemetery, Galloway. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Grace Health Care Services, 105 Fieldcrest Ave., Suite 402, Edison, NJ 08837.
