Joseph V. Demeraski

Joseph V. Demeraski, 57, of Mays Landing, died February 29, 2012 at Atlanticare, Galloway Twp. Born in Hackensack, NJ, he grew up in Little Ferry and lived in Avon before moving to Mays Landing 13 years ago. He worked in maintenance for the Mental Health Association in Pleasantivlle before his retirement. He was active with the Boy Scouts in Little Ferry, serving as a scoutmaster. He was also an extremely handyman who loved tinkering around the house. He loved to cook and enjoyed raising his grandchildren.

He is survived by his companion, Margaret Ciampoli; his children, Joseph Demeraski and Jaclyn Burns; his step-daughter, Gina Decker; his brothers, Teddy and Stanley Demeraski; and his grandchildren, Christy, Brandon and Joshua Shamblin.
