Kim, I was devastated to hear you were gone. You were the best godmother a girl could ask for. It's been years since I was able to visit NJ since moving to Texas. You always made me laugh no matter what was going on in my life. I can still hear your laugh today. I was hoping to see you again when Mom and I brought Grandma's ashes back up there but, Covid came and it just wasn't possible. I have told my kids about you since they were little, I wish you could have seen how big they have grown and the accomplishments, including my grandkids. I will never forget you, you are always on my mind and in my heart. I will miss your Cat jokes you would email me and the Christmas cards you would send. I wish we could have had more time together. I love you always!!!! -Kimberly Johnson

My dear friend Kim. Words cannot express my sadness in hearing of your passing. When I moved in 1962 from Indianapolis to Absecon and started school at Assumption in Pomona you were my 1st friend. I remember coming home telling mom I made friends with a girl that had bright long red hair. I loved your hair and you hated it. We went through a lot at school once when Sister banged your head against the blackboard and us getting our hands slapped with the ruler saying we were dumb. Back then ADH was not known. But we survived. You got me involved in riding horses even coming to the house with them. Oh those were the days. Fast forward, we both got married and I moved to Calif & now in Tx. Even though those years passed we stayed friends. You kept watched over my mom until we moved her here. You were heartbroken when she passed in 2017 at 104. You said you never wanted to live that long and always said a nightly prayer to her ever since. I'm grateful for that. It has been many years since I last saw you and was sure I would see you again once Covid was better and I could bring mom back home to be with dad. I know you knew that would never happen. We had many disagreements the last 5 yrs mainly political but we still stayed friends which many people didn't. It was meant to be that we stayed friends. I'm going to miss our talks but I know your at peace and more importantly pain free. I'm sure my mom and you are together and looking down on me and my family. So until we see each other again ....Rita (Turk) Johnson

We Offer the Book of Memories™

Parsels Funeral Home offers what we consider to be the finest example of online memorials, the Book of Memories™. Created by an award-winning team of web developers and designers while being led by a funeral professional with over 25 years of experience, this online memorial is intended to provide your family with a permanent place to pay tribute to your loved one.

Far more than a traditional obituary—which is usually published only once and has no interactivity at all—the Book of Memories™ Memorial Website is a fully interactive archive of treasured photographs and stories remembered from their time spent with friends, family, neighbors, and co-workers.

You’ll be able to invite others to visit the online memorial, where they can upload images, share stories, write heart-felt messages of condolence, send a floral tribute to the funeral, or make a charitable donation in memory of your loved one. And the built-in social media integration means they can then “spread the word” about their addition to your loved one’s Book of Memories™ using Facebook and Twitter.

We offer the families we serve a Book of Memories™ memorial website with the intention that it gives you a measure of solace and comfort during the coming months. To arrange for a Book of Memories® memorial website for your loved one, contact us today.
