Larry Scott

H. Laurence Scott, III (Larry), 61, of Absecon and Bradenton, Fl, passed away Thursday, February 27, 2014 at his home in Bradenton. Born in Red Bank, NJ, he lived in Absecon from 1989 until his retirement in 2010, then moving to Bradenton. Larry was a licensed funeral director since 1976. He originally worked with his family business, Scott Funeral Home in Belford, NJ, until moving to Absecon, where he managed Parsels Funeral Home, retiring as owner. He was an avid hunter and New York Giants fan.

He is survived by his wife, Susan K. Scott; his daughter’s and husbands, Melissa and Stuart Parnell and Heather and Steven Matis; his son, ‘H’ Scott and his fianc Brandy; his mother, Gloria Scott; his brothers and sister, Kevin (Beth) Scott, Steven Scott and Bonnie (Ed) Marotta; and his grandchildren, Jake, Hailey, Abbey and Lexi.

A memorial gathering will be 1PM to 3PM, Saturday, March 15, 2014 at Parsels Funeral Home, 324 New Jersey Ave., Absecon, NJ. A service will follow at 3PM.
