Lois L. Ireland

Lois Platt Ireland, 58, of Absecon, NJ, passed away February 15, 2015 at Atlanticare Regional Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family, after a courageous battle with lung cancer. Lois was born March 20, 1956 to Louis and Joan (Brogan) Platt in Pittsfield, MA. She graduated from Pleasantville High School and later married William Ireland on March 5, 1977, also in Pleasantville. Lois was a homemaker and also worked alongside her husband for many years, at the family business, Dentsure Dental Lab. Above all else, Lois was a devoted wife and mother. Along with her husband Bill, Lois is survived by her sons Will and Eric, both of Absecon. She also leaves her mother, Joan of New Marlborough, MA; sisters, Gail Potter of West Springfield, MA, Susan Conover of Absecon, NJ, Judy Platt of Glassboro, NJ and Tina Chase of New Marlborough, MA; her brothers, Louis of Millville, NJ, Michael of Egg Harbor Twp., NJ, Patrick of Dalton, MA and Ralph of Copake Falls, NY; and her brother-in-law, Bud Taylor. She was predeceased by her father, Louis, in 1994 and a sister, Francine, in 1999. Services will be private. Donations in Lois’ memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, 626 N.
