Lorraine Fenstermacher

Fenstermacher, Lorraine, of Brigantine, passed away peacefully on November 17, 2013, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Ogdensburg, NY, she grew up and worked on her family farm with her many brothers and sisters, and developed her lifelong love of animals. At age 22, she met and fell in love with her husband, Earl, who was stationed at a nearby army base. Earl was sent off to fight in WW II, where he was seriously injured and sent to convalesce in Atlantic City. They liked the area and decided to put down roots. They owned and operated several businesses including ‘The Pizzeria’, located at Missouri and Fairmount Avenues. They eventually settled in Oceanville, NJ and opened Earl’s TV Repair in Pleasantville. Lorraine spent the next part of her life making a home for her family, until she decided she wanted to try her hand at golf. One lesson from her husband and she was hooked. She spent the next 40 plus years as a member of Mays Landing Country Club. She was Ladies Club champion 12 times and was a member of the Hole In One Club 5 times over. She was also an original member of the ‘19th Holers’.

She was predeceased by her husband Earl and her son, Thomas and many brothers and sisters. She will be sadly missed by her son Earl, Jr. (Christy), her daughter Nancy (Jim), her sister, Dorothy Durand (Keith) and her cat, Oliver.

Visitation will be 1PM to 3PM Saturday, November 23, 2013 at Parsels Funeral Home, 324 New Jersey Ave., Absecon. A service will be offered at 3PM. Burial will follow at Laurel Memorial Park, Egg Harbor Twp. In lieu of flowers, please made donations to your local ASPCA. For online condolences, please visit www.parselsfh.com.
