Louis R. Jiacopello

Jiacopello, Sr., Louis R. 75 - of Absecon, joined his son Tommy in heaven on Tuesday, April 1, 2014. Louis was born in Hammonton, New Jersey and attended Pleasantville High School. He proudly served in the United State Marine Corps from 1955 to 1959. He was an active member of Local 623 NJ Carpenters Union, where he worked on numerous casino development projects throughout his career. A lifelong resident of Absecon, Lou was a dedicated youth athletic coach for many years and volunteered with Absecon Social & Athletic Club. Lou was a devoted husband and father, whom found great joy in watching his grandchildren's sporting events. He spent his winters in Florida and loved to fish, golf and play cards.

Lou was predeceased by his parents Frank and Susan, a son Thomas, brother Anthony, and sisters Josephine and Marie. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Patricia; his children Louis, Jr. (Cyndi) of Tabernacle, Vincent (Melanie) of Egg Harbor Township, and Marie (Tim) of Galloway Township; seven grandchildren, Flavia, Vincent, Nicholas, Louis III, Gina, Ryan, and Kyle. He is also survived by his brothers, Percy, Frank, and John.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a mass of Christian burial at St. Elizabeth Anne Seton Church, 591 New Jersey Ave., Absecon, New Jersey on Monday, April 7, 2014, at 11:00AM where friends may call from 8:45AM to 10:45AM.
