Margaret Ann Hemphill (Duster – Harper) 2/11/47 – 8/9 /17
Hemphill, Margaret ‘Peggy’ Ann (Duster-Harper), 70, of Smithville, passed away surrounded by her family on August 9, 2017. Peggy was born and raised in Folcroft, PA. She received her Associates degree in Food and Beverage in 1991 from ACCC and began working at the Sands Hotel and Casino where she was a Food and Beverage Manager for 15 years until its closing in 2006. She took pride in her work and loved the people she worked with. She loved spending time with her granddaughters, Maggie, Emme, and Leah. She was a constant supporter in everything they did and was extremely proud of them. Peggy loved collecting holiday pins and took a special interest in cooking and baking for those she loved. Peggy also loved antiquing and visiting Cape Cod with her husband Bill. Peggy will be remembered for her wonderful laugh, great sense of style, and her beautiful smile, which lit up any room.
Peggy joins her beloved son, Matthew Harper in heaven. She is survived by her loving husband, Billy Hemphill, her daughter and son-in-law, Vicki (Harper) and HJ Keenan, as well as her beloved granddaughters Maggie, Emme, and Leah. Peggy also leaves behind her nieces, Kim Fordham and Shannon Shoemaker and her sisters-in-law Anita Adams and Lynda Cannon. She is pre-deceased by her sister Mary Jane Smith and her parents Margaret and Raymond Duster.
Visitation will be 8:30AM to 10:30 AM, at Parsels Funeral Home with a funeral mass being offered at 11AM on Saturday, August 12, 2017 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 591 New Jersey Ave., Absecon.
