Obituary For Maria Baretto
Maria A. Baretto, 77, of Absecon, passed away on August 19, 2017 surrounded by her family. Born in Cortenova Valsassina, Italy, she lived in Absecon for 38 years. She loved taking care of her family and cats. She worked as a bookkeeper for 30 years with Gasbarro Law Firm. She is survived by her husband Luigi Baretto, former executive chef of the Ram's Head Inn, son Dr. Luigi Baretto (Dr. Marissa Magid) of Absecon, two sisters Rita Vanotti and Rosalba Thorn of Dumfries, VA, and her nephew Gustavo Thorn (Sara Thorn) of Alexandria, VA. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 11 AM at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 591 New Jersey Avenue in Absecon. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Humane Society of Atlantic County, Attn: Donations, 1401 Abecon Blvd., Atlantic City NJ 08401 or via humanesocietyac.org. My heart is broke that we lost such a sweet and loving angel. She will truly be missed and it was an honor to know her and work with her for 19 years. My thoughts, prayers and love are sent to her family at this time. Rest in Peace Maria

We were neighbors and friends of Maria for many years and loved her dearly. She was the sweetest, most loving, dear person and we are honored to have known her. She loved our children so much and would often come and visit bringing gifts and loving wishes. We will miss her but know she is in the comfort of the Lord's arms. We send love, prayers and strength to her family.

We feel blessed and honored to know Maria. She was gentle, kind and filled with love for her family. We could not have asked for a more spectacular mother-in-law for our daughter. Maria will always be in our thoughts and prayers.

This world lost a true angel! She was always ready to help anyone in need. She had a tiny body but her heart was HUGE. I really don't know how we can go on without her but she would want us to. Don't be sad, be happy that she was a part of your life. Truly an honor! Love you Mariuccia! Rest in peace now!
