Marie Grace Schmincke

Marie Grace Schmincke (Roland), 88, of Mays Landing, passed away January 27, 2021. Born in Atlantic City, she’s lived in Absecon and Galloway for over 40 years, before moving to Mays Landing. Marie worked as a home health aide many years ago before she stopped working to raise her children. She was a former member of Church of The Assumption when it was located on Pomona Road, where she was also a member of the choir. In her free time, she enjoyed dancing at Polski’s in Galloway with her husband and also loved the holidays and decorating, especially Halloween and Christmas. She was passionate for Pinochle, playing with neighbors and family, often beating the pants off her competitors.

Marie was predeceased by her husband, Edward D. Schmincke; her son, Edward G. Schmincke; her daughter, Jill Willmann; her brothers, Karl, George and John Roland; and her son-in-law, David Jackson. She’s survived by her Children, Jeanne Jackson, Janet Revelle (Wayne), June Carroll, Julie Conger (Steven), Jacqueline Coulter and David Schmincke; her sister-in-law, Irene Roland; her 19 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be 12:30PM on Saturday, January 30, 2021 at Union Cemetery, Mays Landing. Parsels Funeral Home, Absecon is in charge of arrangements.
