Obituary For Marjorie E. Arches
Arches, Marjorie E. (Blauvelt), 54, of Egg Harbor City, passed away December 20, 2017, surrounded by her family. Born in Cape May Courthouse, she lived in Chelsea Heights in Atlantic City before moving to Egg Harbor City 20 years ago. Marjorie was a gaming dealer for 30 years with Showboat Casino. She began the day they opened and left when they closed their doors, just a few years ago. Bored with retirement, she went back to work, again as a dealer, with Bally’s Casino and worked there for 2 years. She dedicated her life and health to the casino industry. She was also dedicated to her family. She loved the time she spent with her children and grandchildren and was very caring of her husband. One of her favorite things to do was cooking and preparing meals for them. She cherished the motorcycle rides she and her husband would take together. Marjorie was also a devout follower of Jesus. She watched Joel Osteen faithfully, with her husband and also watched Charles Stanley. She also enjoyed writing inspirational passages which she shared with family, friends and strangers. She will be remembered for her love of God, nature, the world and children. She had a heart of gold and extremely high morals. ‘What can I do for you’ was never too far from her lips. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
She is survived by her husband, Steven E. Arches; her children, Carl J. Blauvelt and Monique Amber Arches; her step-children, Eric Mitchell and Selina Goodwin; her grandchildren, Gabrielle and Ariana Goodwin; her father and step-mother, Chuck and Susan Blauvelt; and her brothers and sister, Jerry Blauvelt, Charles Blauvelt and Peggy Blauvelt.
Services were conducted December 27 with her family. For online condolences, please visit www.parselsfh.com.
