Mark S. Petersen

Petersen, Mark S., 58, of Absecon, passed away August 30, 2020. Born in Philadelphia, PA, he’s been a long-time resident of Absecon. Mark worked in construction his entire life and owned his own business since he was in his early 20’s. He currently owned Top Shelf Remodeling in Absecon. Growing up, he enjoyed baseball and football. Whatever he put his mind to, he always strived to be the best. Mark was devoted to God and was a long-time member of Mainland Baptist Church in Galloway. Mark will be remembered for loving his family whole-heartedly.

Mark is predeceased by his parents, Edwin and Marion (nee Fager) Petersen. He is survived by his wife, Jamie (nee Pachelli) Petersen; his Children, Michelle Petersen, Michael Petersen, Sean McShane, Ethan Pachelli, and Matthew Petersen; his siblings, Valerie Acker (Bruce), Gary Petersen (Bonnie), James Petersen (Merry), John Petersen and Lori Dimarco (Adam); his grandson, Nolan Andrew Hood; 11 nieces and nephews; and his lifelong friend, Ron Daniels.

A memorial gathering will be conducted from 11AM to 12PM on Saturday, September 12, 2020 at Parsels Funeral Home, 324 New Jersey Ave., Absecon. A service will be offered immediately at 12PM.
