Martha A. Flaherty

Flaherty, Martha A. (Toots) (nee Nichols), 99, of Pleasantville, passed away peacefully January 12, 2017. Born in Atlantic City, she remained there, living in Chelsea Heights, until she moved to Pleasantville 8 years ago. She held several jobs during her lifetime but one she was most proud of was working as a slot machine tester for several Atlantic City Casinos including Trump Plaza, where she met Donald Trump on more than one occasion. She loved knitting and crocheting and was an avid basketball fan. Her favorite team was the Boston Celtics. She was also a proud mother to her son Kevin. She enjoyed attending his basketball games and was very proud of his earning the rank of Eagle Scout with the Boy Scouts of America.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Kevin and Holly Flaherty; her grandchildren, Dari and Connor Flaherty; and her sisters, Ella Courtright and Evelyn Rush.
